"How you do anything is how you do everything."
This principle underpins absolutely everything in this course. One of the biggest mistakes that leaders make is trying to take care of the big stuff (e.g. winning games) and ignoring the small stuff (e.g. cleaning up after practice).
“If you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves." - Emily Dickinson
Teamwork is critical to success, but that teamwork needs to exist off the field and in every little thing you do. If that happens, then your team will act like a team on the field when it matters most.
"We don't rise to the occasion, we sink to the level of our training."
Here is the structure of our approach in a nutshell:
- Set Core Values
- Establish Goals and Standards
- Build Trust
- Avoid the Poison Pill
